We rely on your partnership, so together we can provide your child with the highest quality education and care. This will make their time at school happy and enjoyable.
Every morning, staff are available at the entrances into school for you to pass on quick messages or ask questions. If you need a more private moment, or need to speak to your child’s teacher at length, you are very welcome to make an appointment.
General Information
School times
School starts at 8:45am and ends at 3:20pm. Please try hard to get your child to school on time and to collect them promptly.
If your child is late, it is extremely important that you come in via the main reception to let the office staff know your child has arrived.
Absences
If your child is absent please ring the school office in the morning to let us
know the reason. The school telephone number is 01922 710874.
Playtime
During the morning playtime the children can buy a slice of toast for 20p. Toast is limited to one per child and the children are responsible for their own money. Please try to send in the correct change.
Children can bring their own 'healthy' snack to eat a playtime.

To promote healthy eating there are fruit and vegetable stands around the academy which are filled daily by the fruit monitors. Children can help themselves to free fruit daily. The fruit stands have a range of fruit and vegetables such as strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, bananas, apples, pears, satsumas, melon, mini cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, sugar snap peas, carrots etc... The fruits and vegetables will be different each day according to the ones available each season.
Lunch time
During lunch time children can chose to have a packed lunch from home or a school dinner in the dinner hall with the other children. Please remember that ‘Universal Free School Meals’ stop at the end of Year 2. If you are eligible for ‘Free School Meals’ please ensure you complete a ‘Free School Meal’ application form (available from the school office). In readiness for September, please complete these as soon as possible.
You will need to book and pay for your child's school dinner through Parent Pay.
Once your child has finished their lunch, they will get the opportunity to play with their friends on the KS2 playground/ or field.
Water bottles
Children will need to bring in their own clearly labelled water bottle from home each day. These bottles must be taken home at the end of each day for cleaning and refilling.
